I’m learning a lot this October! After finding out about World Homeless Day last week, I’ve now discovered tomorrow is World Food Day. This year’s theme is ‘Family farming: Feeding the world, caring for the Earth’, which sounds a little vague, but I think the general aim is to raise awareness of global food problems, including food security and malnutrition.
To mark the occasion, the Guardian has produced an online quiz: How much food does the UK waste? to draw attention to what is probably the most serious food related issue in this country. I scored a fairly respectable 7/10, but if you do better, let me know!
